We use your information solely for the following purposes:

  • To match volunteers with neighbors requesting help
  • To send notifications about your requests or volunteer activities
  • To send login links to access your account
  • To communicate service updates or important announcements

3. SMS and Communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages and calls related to:

  • Volunteer activity updates (request claimed, completed, etc.)
  • Login verification links
  • Important service notifications

Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by updating your notification preferences or replying STOP to any message.

We do not share your phone number with any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

We share limited information only in the following circumstances:

  • Volunteers see: Requester's name, address, and phone number (only when they claim your request)
  • Requesters see: Volunteer's name and phone number (only when a volunteer claims their request)
  • Service providers: We use Mailgun for email delivery and Twilio for SMS delivery. These providers only process your data to deliver our communications.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • Secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Database access limited to authorized personnel only
  • No storage of passwords or sensitive financial information

We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
